Copper Country News editor Pat Burke shared
these atmospheric images from her visit to the Arboretum in 2002. What
a great picture of magma ridge reflected on Ayer Lake. Black-and-White
photography is less and less common; thanks for sending these, Pat! |
| And here's an interesting view of the historic Picketpost
House, Col. Thompson's home for the first few years after this Arboretum
was founded. |

The windmill pictured here appears nearly as tall as the
eucalyptus trees at right. The Windmill was donated to the Arboretum by
residents of Globe, and reassembled near the Drove's Shed as part of the
Australian exhibits here. |
